Positive Development Raises $51.5 Million To Expand Its Developmental Therapy Model For Autism

Positive Development, Inc., which provides developmental therapy for children with autism and their families, closed a $51.5 million Series C funding round. The company plans to use the funding to expand its care model into new markets and within existing markets. The company plans to invest in new health plan and state Medicaid partnerships, and advance its proprietary technology and AI platform, which “improves upon the efficiency, experience, and quality of care,” according to the announcement.

The company’s care model is built on Developmental Relationship-Based Interventions (DRBI) and integrates speech therapy, occupational therapy, and mental health therapy with technology and real-time data to improve care quality and parent experience, the company stated.

New investor aMoon co-led the round with existing investors B Capital and Flare Capital Partners. Other existing investors also participated, including Digitalis Ventures, Healthworx, the innovation and investment arm of CareFirst Inc. Tomer Berkovitz, Ph.D., managing partner at aMoon, joined Positive Development’s Board of Directors.
